Purpose of the Society
Knowledge Base Publishing
-- the integrated use of print, Web, and databases -- requires new conceptual
and technical skills as well as new kinds of supporting services.
The Society of Knowledge Base Publishers
is a membership organization for people who are interested in learning
and applying these new techniques to better manage their company's intellectual
assets. Applications include:
- providing clients with more effective problem resolution;
- decreasing time to market for new products;
- shortening the sales cycle;
- increasing revenues from current clients;
- generating additional revenues from existing patents,
trademarks, databases, and other intellectual property;
- enhancing relationships with investors and
shareholders.
Membership options
Select from one of the membership options below.
Full individual membership
($250/year per person) includes the following:
- Monthly E-mail
news alerts. Brief, concise E-mail messages containing links
to sources of interest gleaned from Internet news groups, Web sites,
and print resources.
- Montague Institute
Review. A private Web journal with reviews and articles by
our staff and other experts. Includes back file from 1992 to the present.
- Discounts on Montague Institute seminars,
publications, and roundtables.
Some are traditional, face-to-face events; others are "virtual"
sessions using the Web and teleconferencing.
- Participation in Member Q&A, a confidential
reference and referral service.
Read-only individual membership ($150/year per person)
Read-only membership allows individuals in the
same department or business unit to have access to the Society Web site
via passwords. Read-only members do not receive discounts on Society events
or publications, nor can they initiate Member Q&A requests. Read-only memberships must be associated with at least one full membership.
Enterprise membership
(call for pricing) — Web access for an entire
