SharePoint can access a "thesaurus" file to expand or redirect a search, but this isn't a true thesaurus with "see", "see also", and "use" relationships. Moreover, editors and indexers don't have a way within SharePoint to manage semantic relationships. However, you can overcome these limitations by using an external metadata repository and a custom Web Part.
In this teleconference, you'll learn how to create and use custom metadata elements in simple and advanced search and how to display true thesaurus relationships in the Best Bets zone on the search results page.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This event is for practitioners only and will be of most benefit to people with some exposure to SharePoint either as a user or site administrator. Space is limited to permit everyone's active participation. Software vendors
